OUR ORGANIZATION'S HISTORY
Feline Friends of Hallettsville was originally an advocacy group established in 2020, created to advocate for a Trap Neuter Release(TNR) program within the city limits of Hallettsville. We were eventually turned down by City Counsel and decided to continue what we do without the city TNR program.

While pleading to city council members to support the TNR program we began helping take care of the feral cats around our city, including feeding, trapping and vetting, and in some case
relocating. We also started taking in kittens community members found in Hallettsville. We decided after being turned down by the city to continue what we were doing because we care so deeply about the welfare of our community and all the felines within.
We operated this way, with our own funds and some donations, up until the beginning of 2023 when
we began raising funds to become a 501c3 Nonprofit Cat Rescue. We continue to work towards becoming a nonprofit at this time.

As we do we continue to grow and are always in need of volunteers, foster homes, and donations. As we grow we hope to one day have a facility of our own so that we can help more cats and kittens within Lavaca County.
